Virtex-7 2000T: Built with ASIC Prototyping in Mind

The Virtex-7 2000T FPGA enabled by Stacked Silicon Interconnect (SSI) is ideally suited for the ASIC prototyping and emulation marketplace:

  • 2M logic cells, 6.8B transistors
  • Thirty-six 12.5Gb/s serial transceivers
  • 46Mb of BRAM
  • 1,200 I/Os
  • Now in volume production

ASIC Emulation in Action

Xilinx has leveraged ASIC prototyping and emulation methodology with the creation of the Zynq®-7000 SoC emulation platform. The original Virtex-5 and Virtex-6 based emulation platform was ported to a Virtex-7 2000T FPGA, enabling a 5X increase in performance and a 6X reduction in devices.
